Just after Shikhar Dhawan’s thumb fracture, pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar also joined the list of injured players. The Indian pacer had to walk off from the field after suffering from a hamstring injury during the game with Pakistan in the World Cup 2019. Needless to say, has raised a lot of concerns for the Indian team management especially because Bhuvi is a senior bowler and his role is quite crucial. He has been ruled out for the next two matches in the World Cup.  Bhuvneshwar Kumar has so far picked five wickets in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Now, ahead of the game against Afghanistan, the Indian pacer was seen in the nets with physio Patrick Farhart. Bhuvneshwar Kumar Injury Update: 'Indian Physios Working Closely With the Pacer,' Says Shankar Basu. 

He was seen running at a slow pace and the physio was supervising him closely. He also kept on talking to the pacer at regular intervals. A while later, injured Vijay Shankar also joined him and started performing light drills. The physio was also seen having a word with Shankar. Check out the video of the same below:

Shankar Basu, the team’s strength and conditioning coach said that Bhuvneshwar’s injury update will be known shortly. “Our physiotherapists are looking after Bhuvneshwar Kumar at the moment and we will know the status very shortly,” Basu said in a press conference. On Sunday Virat Kohli had said that Bhuvi is suffering from a slight niggle after he slipped on one of the footmarks and he will be fine after two or three matches.
