India won the second ODI against West Indies by 59 runs through (D/L) method, after rain interrupted the match twice. The match was reduced to 46 overs per side and the target was revised to 270 instead of the original target of 280 set by India.
However, Bhuvneshar and Kuldeep Yadav along with Khaleel Ahmed provided the early breakthrough as West Indies opener Chris Gayle once again failed with the bat. West Indies lost quick wickets as their middle order collapsed between the 34th and 37th over. Mohammed Shami picked the last two wickets to fall as India won the match by 59 runs.
