Trinbano Knight Riders walked away with the Caribbean Premier League 2018 title for the second time as Shah Rukh Khan’s team beat the Guyana Amazon Warriors by eight wickets. All thanks to the heroics of Colin Munro and Khary Pierre! After winning the toss, Trinbago Knight Riders elected to field first and the team got off to a great start. Pakistan’s Ali Khan sent Cameron Delpit packing on the score of 0.

Then came the spells from Dwayne Bravo who snapped a couple of wickets i.e. of Luke Ronchi and Shimron Hetmyer. They put up a partnership of 52 runs for the team and the Guyana Amazon Warriors were now on the score of 79 with the loss of 3 wickets. Khary Pierre’s bowling was the cherry on the cake as he snapped three vital wickets and did not allow the opponents to pile up too many runs on the board. Chadwick Walton became the second highest scorer for the Amazon Warriors by scoring 24 runs off 23 balls. Rest of the batsmen from the Guyana Amazon Warriors made less than 20 runs and made way to the pavilion. As a result, the team got all out on 147/9.  Check out the video highlights of the match here.

On the other hand, Trinbago Knight Riders got off to an amazing start. The openers Brendon McCullum and Dinesh Ramdin were blazing guns for the team and they put up a partnership of 52 runs. Ramdin’s departed and Colin Munro took the centre stage scoring 68 runs from 39 balls. Munro remained not out and scored six fours and three sixes. Bravo got retired hurt and Colin Ingram remained not out. With this, the Trinbago Knight Riders won the game by eight wickets. Colin Munro was awarded with the Player of the Tournament Award as he scored 567 runs in CPL 2018.

Needless to say that the result impressed Trinbago Knight Riders’ owner Shah Rukh Khan who took to Twitter and poured out his emotions.
