The infamous sand paper gate scandal is something cricket fans will never forget. Even crowd witnessing a cricket match involving Australian team are ready to attack David Warner and Steve Smith over the issue.  During the third day of The Ashes 2019 England vs Australia 1st Test too, some crowd teased David Warner over the matter but Warner's response was something humble to watch.

"He’s got sandpaper in his hands,” the Barmy Army, supporter of England cricket team, sang. They sang it to the to the tune of 'He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands' when Warner was fielding near the boundary. In response, Warner empied his pockets and showed that it was empty. He held his emply pockets till the next ball was bowled.  The humble  and humorous reaction of the Australian opener won the hearts of the crowd and fans. Many called it the moment of the day.

Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameroon Bancroft were involved in ball tampering incident in South Africa tour last year which saw them getting banned from cricket for over an year. They joined the national team before World Cup 2019 and are now part of The Ashes 2019.

Meanwhile,  Australia hit 284/10 in the England vs Australia 1st Teat match in the Ashes 2019. England hit 374/10.in reply taking a lead of 90 runs.  At the end of third day, Australia were 124-3 with a lead of 17 runs over England side. Steve Smith hit a 144 during  Australia's batting in the first innings.  At the stumps of third day, Steve Smith and Travis Head were on strike. The match is being played at Edgbaston in  Birmingham.
