Set a target of 186 runs to win, Delhi Capitals were well on course for the major part of their innings. After losing Shikhar Dhawan early, Prithvi Shaw and skipper Shreyas Iyer added 89 runs for the second wicket. The hosts then lost Shreyas but Prithvi kept playing his shots.

The young right-handed batsman shared another fine partnership with Rishabh Pant as the duo added 54 for the third wicket. Delhi then lost their way towards the end and for just 15 runs lost four wickets, including Prithvi on 99. With this win, Delhi Capitals now occupy second spot on the IPL 2019 points table while Kolkata Knight Riders continue their stay at top. DC will now travel to Mohali for an away match against Kings XI Punjab on April 01 while KKR takes on Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 05 in Bengaluru.
