Delhi Capitals defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League 2019 Eliminator to set up a Qualifier 2 clash with defending champions Chennai Super Kings. Chasing 163 against Sunrisers, Delhi crossed the line in the last over on penultimate ball. It was Rishabh Pant’s 21-ball 49 that kept Delhi Capitals in the hunt. Delhi Capitals after a good start lost wickets in a hurry and at one stage were 111 for five. During his innings, Pant smashed Basil Thampi for 21 runs off five balls to help Delhi near the target. Pant, however, was dismissed in the penultimate over and later admitted that he should have finished the match. “If you are set, you have to finish it for your team. Next time, I will try to finish it for my team as I got very close tonight. I just try to be positive. In T20s, you have to have a big over.
