Mahendra Singh Dhoni today turned 37 and the former Indian captain was reminded that he was "getting older" by none other than his daughter Ziva. "Happy birthday papa, you are getting older," sang Ziva to his father. A video was posted by the official Twitter handle of the BCCI, in which Ziva was seen singing. Following India’s defeat against England in the second T20 international, Dhoni celebrated his birthday by cutting a cake. Kohli's wife, Bollywood actor, Anushka Sharma was also present. "At this age you are as fit as ever, as fast as ever, it's great to see you enjoying, smiling and wish you all the best. It's an honour for me to be playing with you still. We started under you, we know the respect we share. Best wishes and my positive energy towards you always," Kohli was quoted as saying by PTIMS Dhoni Birthday Special: Some of the Records Held by the Former Indian Cricket Team Captain.

Meanwhile, Dhoni became the third Indian cricketer to play 500 international matches. He now joins Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid to have achieved the feat. Dhoni has been one of the most successful captains in the world cricket, guiding the Indian team to the 2007 ICC T20 World Cup, the 2011 ICC World Cup, the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy triumphs among other achievements.

India are currently on the England tour and are locked in a three-match T20I series. The series is at the moment tied at one each with third and final T20I to be played on Sunday. Following the T20Is, the two teams will face-off in three-match One-Day International (ODI) series as well. India’s tour of England ends with a five-match Test series.
