Yesterday it was COA Chief Vinod Rai and Diana Edulji had recommended a ban for both the cricketers. Rahul Johri, CEO of the BCCI went on to say that the apology by Hardik Pandya was quite insincere as it was drafted by the agency. Hours after Vinod Rai wrote to the BCCI recommending a ban, BCCI treasurer Anirudh Chaudhry also expressed his disappointment over the matter. “The comments such as the ones that have been made would definitely have painted a large, red target on the back of the players for potential recruiters for the organised syndicates who attempt to indulge in match-fixing across the globe," Chaudhry wrote in an email after COA member Diana Edulji sought his opinion on the matter.
