The ICC Cricket World Cup is scheduled to begin from May 30, 2019. The 12th edition of Cricket World Cup will take place in England and Wales. Afghanistan made it to World Cup 2019 after winning the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournament at Zimbabwe in March 2018. The team making to the final of the tournament qualified for ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Afghanistan and the West Indies team made it to the final of that World Cup Qualifier in 2018, hence they qualified for Cricket World Cup 2019.  Afghanistan will be led by Gulbadin Naib and will have former West Indies cricketer Phil Simmons as their coach. Afghanistan will begin their ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 campaign against Australia on June 1, 2019, at County Ground, Bristol. The final of World Cup 2019 tournament will be played on July 14 at Lord's in London.
