Jadhav and Dhoni faced 149 balls in a match-winning partnership. While Jadhav scored 81 off 87 balls, Dhoni managed 59 off 72 balls. Jadhav was ten adjudged Man of the Match for his performance. Apart from scoring valuable runs, he picked a wicket as well.

Following the match, Jadhav said he tries to learn from Dhoni and skipper Virat Kohli. “I tried to learn a lot from him (Dhoni). Dhoni and Kohli are the best chasers in the game, I feel. The intensity has to be there all the time. That's what we learn from the captain and that's what we tried to do. I would have tried to play more shots early had Dhoni bhai not been there. I Can Play Innovative Shots and Hence Took More Risk, Says Kedar Jadhav.

That's what he does, he tells you exactly. He reads your mind; plenty of times when you feel this ball can be hit for boundaries, he'll tell you 'I can see that but the team needs more solidity and you have to bat till the end'. Every time you think of the team, most of the times, you'll cross the line and end up on the winning side,” Jadhav said.

However, post-match during an interview with spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, who ‘hosts’ Chahal TV, Jadhav revealed that he blindly follows Dhoni when it comes to running between the wickets. “I have said this earlier as well that whatever Mahi bhai tells me to do, I do it blindly and become successful,” said Jadhav.
