After thrashing Bangladesh  2-1 in the three-match T20I series, India have also continued their dominance in the longest format of the game. The Indian pacers shone in the opening session of the 1st India vs Bangladesh Test and left the visitors reeling at 58/3 at lunch. Mohammed Shami and Ishant Sharma breathed fire with the new ball and rattled the Bangladeshi top order. In the absence of Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal, the batting line up looked completely fragile as opener Imrul Kayes and Shadnam Islam were dismissed in the first five overs of the innings. At present, Captain Mominul Haque and Mushfiqur Rahim are batting at 22 and 14 respectively. India Vs Bangladesh, Cricket Score 1st Test Match.

Earlier in the match, Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first on the Indore wicket. Their decision, however, didn’t prove to be quite fruitful as the Bangla Tigers lost wicket upfront and are struggling at the moment. Nevertheless, they will look to bounce back in the second session of the day piling up a big partnership for the fourth wicket. However, they will be challenged by the spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja who have been phenomenal in the last Test series against South Africa.

Bangladesh have never beaten India in the longest format of the game and with this sort of start, the host's winning streak is likely to be continued. India, who are the number one ranked Test side in the world, thrashed South Africa 3-0 in their last Test series at home and have again made an impeccable start. On the other hand, Bangladesh faced a shocking defeat against Afghanistan in their last Test series and will aim to redeem themselves.
