The Kuldeep-Chahal duo, who were sparingly used together following the 2019 World Cup heartbreak, were once again back as India's premier spinning duo while Shivam Dube also earned his maiden ODI call-up. Bhuvneshwar played all three ODIs and T20I each against the West Indies before being ruled out of the remaining two tours with an injury. Meanwhile, Kedar Jadhav, despite his disappointment in CWC2019, kept his place in the Indian ODI side. Deepak Chahar was rewarded for his consistent performance since the West Indies tour with Mohammed Shami being the third pacer in the ODI team.

Kuldeep Yadav-Yuzvendra Chahal Back

It was a similar story in the T20I team where Kuldeep, Chahal and Washington Sundar being named as the third spinners in the 15-member team. Dube, who swung the tide in India's favour in the deciding T20I match against Bangladesh before Chahar's hat-trick kept his place in the T20I side. Khaleel Ahmed was, however, dropped from the squad following his poor outing against both South Africa and Bangladesh.

West Indies' tour of India 2019 will begin on December 06, 2019 and will run for about three weeks. India will first play West Indies in a three-match T20I series before also facing in the three-match ODI series, the T20I series will be played between December 06 to December 11. The Twenty20 series will be followed by a three-match ODI series starting December 15.
