The India vs South Africa 3rd Test in Ranchi was suspended on Day 1 due to bad light. The play suspended due to bad light in the post-tea session of the Ranchi Test on Day 1. India reached 224/3 in 58 before the play was suspended. The match became a big entertainer for cricket fans after Rohit Sharma smashed a century. Sharma hit his 6th Test century. Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane were on the crease when  IND vs SA 3rd Test Day 1 play was suspended. Rohit Sharma was batting on 117 while

Ajinkya Rahane reached 83. Earlier, India won the toss and elected to bat first. Mayank Agarwal lost his wicket cheaply for just 10 runs while Cheteshwar Puraja was dismissed on a duck. India lead the three-match Test series 3-0 after winning the first two Tests. In the first Test, India won the match by 203 runs. Sharma had smashed twin centuries in the match. In the second Test, India won by an innings and 137 runs. Kohli was the limelight of the match with his best Test knock of 254* runs. India is now eyeing a clean sweep over the Proteas. The T20I series was tied at 1-1.
