India and West Indies will hope to hit the ground running when they – if the weather permits – each other in the second game of a three-match ODI series. India clean swept the T20I series 3-0 and will be eager to continue their dominance over the hosts in their own backyard. West India, on the other, will be eager to avenge the T20I series defeat. Meanwhile, India skipper Virat Kohli has won the toss and elected to bat first. India have gone in with the same playing XI. West Indies vs India Cricket Score 2nd ODI Match.

The first ODI game between both these teams was abandoned due to inclement weather and poor pitch conditions after just 13 overs of play. West Indies were asked to bat first after Virat Kohli had won the toss and the hosts were stranded on 54/1 in 13 overs when rain and poor conditions prevented any further play. Chris Gayle was the only man dismissed for the West Indies.

Indian opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan returned from his thumb injury for his first game ever since the thumb fracture ruled him out of CWC 2019. Shreyas Iyer and Khaleel Ahmed were also included in the playing XI as was Kuldeep Yadav. Yadav also went to claim the prized scalp of Chris Gayle, the only wicket to fall in the game before rain intervened play.

Chris Gayle is also expected to make his 300th ODI appearance for West Indies making him the only West Indies player to complete the milestone. West Indies are also expected to go into the second ODI game with the same playing XI unless they're are forced into making a change.
