The Pakistani team lost the T20I series by 0-2 against Australia, the Men in Green have been under the microscope for their performance. First, it was the former Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar, who blasted at the team for their performance and now, Pakistan’s former selector Inzamam Ul Haq also joined the bandwagon but went on to lash out at the Pakistani coach Misbah Ul Haq handing over T20I captaincy to Babar Azam. According to him never in the history of Pakistan cricket has the team gone to Australia with a new captain. Shoaib Akhtar Pulls Misbah-Ul-Haq's Leg After Former Skipper Gets Dual Role by Pakistan Cricket Board (See Tweet).

Pakistan might have lost the series by 0-2, but Babar Azam made 115 runs with an average of 57.50.

Azhar Ali will be leading the Test series for the team which begins from November 21, 2019, against Australia at The Gabba in Brisbane. Naseem Shah, Muhammad Musa, Shaheen Afridi are the new players picked for the side.
