West Indies batsman Chris Gayle in this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) will be seen playing for Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). The fun-loving batsman is preparing for the season ahead, but not the usual way. Gayle was seen showcasing his dancing moves as he gets ready to feature in the Punjab-based franchise. Gayle has posted a video on his Instagram account in which the flamboyant batsman is seen performing some serious bhangra moves on a famous Punjabi song.

Gayle was snapped by the KXIP at this year’s auction. The batsman, however, went unsold twice before Punjab placed a successful bid for him. He was bought by the franchise for his base price of INR 2 Crore. With IPL 2018, scheduled to begin from April 07, KXIP will be hopeful that the ‘Universe Boss’ turns up to be a match-winner for the team.

Here’s the video of Gayle doing some bhangra:

Last season Gayle played for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and had an ordinary season. The left-hander featured in only nine matches and managed to score 200 runs. Gayle has been one of the explosive batsmen to have featured in the IPL. However, of-late his form has taken a dip. Gayle has thus far played 101 IPL matches and has scored 3626 runs with five centuries and 21 half-centuries.

KXIP will open their IPL 2018 campaign against Delhi Daredevils on April 08 in front of the home crowd at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. Spinner Ravi Ashwin will lead KXIP in this year’s IPL.
