The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the complete schedule of Indian Premier League 2019 (IPL 2019). Earlier, the board had announced the schedule for first two weeks only. The cricket board waited for Election Commission (EC) to release the election dates for the Lok Sabha election 2019. The board had to make sure that there is no match in the city going to polls. The schedule released for first two weeks stays same. However, the schedule announced by BCCI is of league stage matches only. It appears the board will announce the playoffs schedule on a later date.

The IPL 2019 will begin from March 23 with defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The league stage of IPL 2019 will end on May 05. Soon, after the IPL 2019, Indian players will participate in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, which begins on May 30. As per Lodha Committee recommendations, the board has to keep a mandatory gap of 15 days between the last IPL match and the international fixture. India’s opens their World Cup campaign on June 05 but will be locked in warm-up matches on May 25 and 28.
