The upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League is a few months away and the franchisees are quite busing preparing their final teams for the same. Now, ahead of the IPL 2020 here’s another transfer that has happened from the Rajasthan Royals to Delhi Capitals. Rajasthan Royals’ captain Ajinkya Rahane has now been transferred to Shreyas Iyer’s team for Indian Premier League 13. Yes! You read it right! Ajinkya Rahane won’t be donning the pink colour jersey for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. The Delhi Capitals made an announcement of the same on their social media handle. Ajinkya Rahane Likely to Play for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2020, Official Announcement Expected Soon. 

As per media reports, Rahane has a price tag of Rs four crore and for a few months now, Delhi Capitals have been in touch with the Rajasthan Royals for the skipper of the team. The negotiations for the RR skipper began when Sourav Ganguly was still the advisor of the team as he thought that Akinkya Rahane as an all-format player. The announcement of the Delhi Capitals taking up Ajinkya Rahane was made on their social media handle.

This means Rahane will get to work under head coach Ricky Ponting and join forces with personal coach Pravin Amre, a talent scout with the Delhi franchise. He will play alongside his Mumbai teammate Shreyas Iyer. Talking about the IPL auctions, it is said that the auctions will take place on December 12, 2019.
