It’s been 15 days that CWC 2019 has ended and now it’s time for Test cricket, which is often touted to be the clash of the Titans. All eyes are set on England and Australia as are gearing up for the Ashes 2019 which will begin from August 1, 2019, at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground. Apart from being a nail-biting contest, The Ashes also has had a fair share of controversies. This time it was the scoreboard at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground that became the highlight and former Australian pacer took a sly dig at the same. So here’s the entire incident. Ahead of the game, team Australia reached the nets and the players were seen sweating it out ahead of the game. But the scoreboard at the ground still showed the scores of the CWC 2019 semi-final two, where England defeated their arch-rivals Australia comprehensively by eight wickets. As a result, Australia, could not make way into the finals of the CWC 2019.  The display of the scoreboard surely did not go down well with former Australian pacer Jason Gillespie who took a sly dig at the move on social media.

A few netizens stood divided on the act. While a few of them labelled this as mind games, a handful of them said that this was a petty move. Talking about the Ashes 2019, the first match will be held from August 1-5, 2019 at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground. The second game will be held at the Lord’s cricket stadium from August 14-18. The third Test will be hosted at the Headingley Stadium and the fourth game will be held at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground. The last match will be hosted at The Oval.
