The CWC 2019 finals between England and New Zealand was quite a nerve-wracking one. But was the hosts who walked away with the trophy for the first time as they displayed nerves of steel at the Lord’s Cricket Ground. It truly wasn’t’ over until it was over as England walked away with a win by Super over on boundary count. Amidst all the chaos, the netizens were quick enough to spot pacer Jofra Archer’s old tweets which had an uncanny resemblance with the way things panned out in the game today. Stuart Broad reacted to the same. England Are the Champions! Eoin Morgan and Co. Win ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in Thriller Super-Over Final Match Against New Zealand.
Archer posted a tweet back in July 2015, which read, “Wouldn't mind a super over.” Stuart Broad was quick enough to spot the tweet and replied saying, “You got your wish Jof.” There are several other tweets posted in 2014 where it was observed that the game panned quite a lot the way Jofra had predicted.
