The opening batsman scored 50 runs off 36 balls and became the highest scorer of the team. KL Rahul in the first match hit six fours and a maximum. However, his innings could not help India put up a great score on the board and India lost the match in Vishakhapatnam by three wickets. During the presentation ceremony, even Virat Kohli said that both KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant deserve enough chances.
