Rohit Sharma might not have had the best of the start in the two matches T20I series against Australia in Vishakhapatnam. Rohit Sharma scored a paltry score of five runs from eight balls. The right-hander was caught out by Adam Zampa while Jason Behrendorff was bowling. The Mumbai batsman obviously hopes to put his best foot forward in the second T20I against Australia in Bengaluru i.e. if he is included in the playing XI, Sharma could create this record and this joins the elite list of players comprising MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina. India vs Australia, 2nd T20I 2019: Check Out the Weather Forecast of Bengaluru as Virat Kohli & Men Look to Avoid Whitewash.

On Wednesday if Sharma makes it to the playing XI at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, it would be his 300th T20 appearance and would only be the third Indian to achieve the feat. This record also includes the appearances in the Indian Premier League and the domestic T20 appearances too.  MS Dhoni played in 301 T20s, whereas Suresh Raina has had 300 appearances. Sharma has made 7795 runs in the shortest format of the game at an average of 28.17.

Ahead of the game on Wednesday, the team was seen sweating it out in the nets. The Australian team won the first T20I in Vizag by three wickets and now leads the two-game T20I series by 2-0. The only positive for India in the first game was that KL Rahul slammed a half-century and came back in form. Ahead of the game, the pitch curator of the Chinnaswamy Stadium said that the wicket will have plenty runs.
