Chennai Super Kings’ Lungi Ngidi dished out a man of the match performance against Kings XI Punjab. On a green track, Ngidi returned figures of 4/10 including a maiden in his four overs. CSK eventually won the match by five wickets and knocked out KXIP. During the post-match show while looking back at his performance Ngidi did the famous ‘Lungi Dance’ steps from the Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer Chennai Express.

When asked by the presenter has he learned the Lungi Dance, Ngidi replied: “having being in Chennai. The first things I found out is that there is a Lungi Dance and I need to learn that. The boys have been teaching me. I am still waiting for one of my team-mates who promised me to buy a Lungi. Once I get that I will definitely bust out the moves.” Lungi Ngidi Dismisses Rishabh Pant, Gives him Royal Send-Off

Former South African captain Graeme Smith, who was present in the panel, prompted Ngidi to show some of the moves, to which the pacer obliged. Here’s the video of Lungi Ngidi doing the Lungi Dance.

Interestingly, after being picked up by CSK at the IPL 2018 auction, Ngidi tweeted that he loves the Lungi Dance song.

Ngidi has featured in just five matches for CSK so far. The pacer had to fly back home earlier after the sad demise of his father. He then joined back the CSK squad and now has managed to pick nine wickets.

CSK, who finished second on the IPL 2018 points table, will take on table-toppers Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Qualifier 1 on May 22 in Mumbai. CSK has previously won two IPL titles and now will be looking for their third trophy.
