After struggling in the first few matches, Virat Kohli came to his premium best in the third and final T20I against West Indies in Guyana. The Indian Skipper scored his 21st T20I fifty and equalled the record of most T20I fifty-plus scores with Deputy Rohit Sharma. The veteran looked quite off-track in the first two matches as the right-handed-batsman struggled to convert his start into a big score. But, in the last match of the series, he played cautiously and lead India to a 3-0 whitewash against the defending World T-20 Champions. Virat Kohli’s Priority Is to Keep Indian Cricket on Top.

The skipper scored 59 runs from 45 deliveries and his innings were studded with six boundaries. With this half-century, Virat equalled the Indian opener with the most number of fifty-plus scores in T20I. Rohit Sharma scored a half-century in the second match of the series and achieved the feat. The highest scorer in T20I has 21 fifty-plus scores, which include 17 fifties and four hundreds. The Indian vice-captain got a breather in this match and Virat equalled his record with a match-winning inning. Moreover, Rohit overtook Virat only in the second T20I and it seems like the top spot will juggle only between these two Indian batsmen. Deepak Chahar Rattles West Indies Top Order, Picks Three Wickets During IND Vs WI 3rd T20I 2019 Match.

Coming to the match, India won the toss and elected to field first. The decision looked spot on as Deepak Chahar removed the top three Windies batsman in his first two overs. Nevertheless, the hosts recovered and a half-century from Kieron Pollard guided the men in maroon to 146 runs in the first innings. However, the target never seemed enough in front of the Indian batting line-up as half-centuries from Captain Kohli and Rishabh Pant lead India to a 3-0 whitewash. The men in blue will next take on the West Indies in a three-match ODI series where the hosts will look for redemption and Indian Team will like to continue their purple-patch.
