Rohit Sharma is known a Hitman courtesy his countless blistering innings. However, a lot of cricketing pundits would often say that his batting style would not suit the longest format of the game. But Rohit Sharma silenced his critics after scoring 176 and 127 runs in the first and second innings of the ongoing Test match between India and South Africa at the VDCA Stadium in Vishakhapatnam. Now, Sharma owns yet another prolific record. Sharma scored 17 sixes in a Test match. In the first inning, Sharma brought up 176 slamming 23 fours and six sixes. In the second innings, Sharma scored 10 fours and seven sixes. The International Cricket Council shared Rohit Sharma’s record on social media. Rohit has also hit 16 sixes against Australia in 2013 in Bangalore. Whereas, he had slammed 10 sixes in Indore against Sri Lanka in 2017.
