New Zealand’s Eastern District police has trolled home team after the Blackcaps suffered back to back defeats against India. In a Facebook post which has apparently gone viral now, the New Zealand police has ‘warned’ the public about the ‘exploits of a group touring the country at the moment.’

“Police would like to issue a warning to members of the public about the exploits of a group touring the country at the moment. Witnesses report seeing this group badly assault an innocent looking bunch of New Zealanders in both Napier and Mt Maunganui in the last week. Extra care should be taken if you are carrying anything that looks like a cricket bat or ball,” Eastern District police’s post reads. India Registers Impressive Win on Republic Day Against New Zealand in 2nd ODI 2019, Twitterati React

India handed New Zealand second consecutive defeat in the five-match One-Day Internationals (ODI). After taking the 1-0 lead at Napier, the visitors extend their dominance and won the second ODI by 90 runs.

Batting first, India posted mammoth 324/4 in 50 overs. Openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan added 154 runs for the first wicket and made life miserable for New Zealand bowlers. Both Rohit and Dhawan posted half-centuries and scored 87 and 66 respectively. Towards the end, MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav helped their side cross the 320-run mark. 'MS Dhoni Staying Till The Last Always Helps', Says Kedar Jadhav After India Defeat New Zealand in 2nd ODI at Mount Maunganui.

In response, New Zealand were bundled out for 234. Spinner Kuldeep Yadav scalped four wickets to unsettle the Kiwis. Apart from him, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal chipped in with two wickets each. The two teams now take on each other in the third ODI on January 28 and the hosts will be looking to bounce back.
