FIFTY! Aiden Markram manages to get a fifty in merely 19 balls. Markram has taken the attack to the bowlers, scoring six fours and four sixes in his 19-ball half-century. Quinton de Kock fell for 20 after a 63-run stand with Adien Markram. 

This has been a phenomenal start for Proteas, with Quinton de Kock and Aiden Markram adding 50 runs in merely 3 overs. Markram in particular has been on the charge and is nearing his 13th T20I fifty. 

South Africa will hope that their openers Quinton de Kock and Aiden Markram will provide their side a swift start. De Kock has been in form and will look to capitalise on that, while Markram has been struggling to find his mojo. Matt Henry went for 13 runs to open the proceedings for New Zealand. 

Despite a poor start, New Zealand have managed to put up a decent total on the board, thanks to knocks from Finn Allen (31), Mark Chapman (48), Daryl Mitchell (32), and James Neesham (23), who ensured the Kiwis got as near to 200 as possible. Marco Jansen stood out for the Proteas, taking four wickets, but he was highly expensive, giving up 40 runs. 

OUT! Lungi Ngidi comes into the attack, and produces a wicket for the Proteas. Daryl Mitchell, who looked to attack the bowlers, perished playing the big shot in a bid to up the ante. Mitchell tried to go over long-on but miscued the shot and gave his wicket on 32. 

Mark Chapman and Daryl Mitchell have managed to rebuild New Zealand's innings, adding 67 runs in just over six overs. Chapman is playing the role of the aggressor, while Mitchell is playing a more controlled innings. 

New Zealand, despite a solid run-rate, have stuttered its way, losing as many as four wickets for 31 runs. Marco Jansen claimed the top-three wickets, while Keshav maharaj in his first over, managed to dismiss the in-form Glenn Phillips. Mark Chapman and Daryl Mitchell will need to do the rebuilding work for Kiwis. 

OUT! Marco Jansen continues his march and gets his third wicket. Finn Allen, who looked in dangerous touch, falls for a 17-ball 31. A slower ball that gets the wicket of Allen, who fell for the loopy delivery, and went for the drive. 

OUT! Second wicket for Marco Jansen in as many overs. Rachin Ravindra looked good in his 8-ball stay, scoring 13, but perished playing the expansive drive, resuling in a thick outside edge to David Miller at short third. 

OUT! Marco Jansen takes his first wicket in his first over, and draws first blood for South Africa. Extra bounce from Jansen sees Tim Seifert walk back to the pavilion.  Seifert went for the cut short, but extra bounce saw the ball take the top-edge into the keeper.

For New Zealand, Finn Allen and Tim Seifert will look to provide the Black Caps a brisk start and build a platform for the power hitters to launch in the middle and death overs. Interestingly, NZ are yet to win a T20 World Cup tie against SA, having lost all four previous encounters.
