Ahead of the first Test match between India and Australia in Adelaide the Indian team management included Rohit Sharma for the five-day long format. The team management also named Hanuma Vihari in the team. However, on the day of the match, Rohit Sharma was included in the squad. While one expected his innings in the first Test to last longer, it turned out to be a bad day for the Hitman. Rohit Sharma got out on 37 runs which were made from 61 balls. Sharma looked completely set as he hit two fours and three sixes and formed a partnership with Cheteshwar Pujara. However, the Hitman played a reckless shot and was soon seen walking towards the pavilion. Virat Kohli's Fall of Wicket Video: Usman Khawaja Takes an Unbelievable Catch to Dismiss the Indian Captain During IND vs AUS 1st Test Day 1.

KL Rahul and Murali Vijay made way to the pavilion quite early in the game by scoring 2 and 11 respectively. Virat Kohli who was expected to do well in the first Test also made way to the pavilion on the score of 3. Ajinkya Rahane also scored 13 runs from 31 balls.
