According to investigators, the victim, identified as Sofia, was taken out on a motorcycle ride on the night of August 12 by her 38-year-old brother, Mohmand Habil, and her father, Mohmand Farooq. During the journey, Habil diverted the motorcycle onto a secluded dirt path near Gheljipura village. There, he allegedly struck Sofia on the head three times with an iron hammer he had concealed in his trousers. To evade law enforcement, the father and son transported Sofia's body back to the main road near the Gheljipura intersection and intentionally damaged the motorcycle to simulate a collision. Habil subsequently reported to authorities that an unidentified speeding vehicle had hit their motorcycle from behind, claiming his sister suffered fatal head injuries while he sustained minor bruises. Sofia was taken to Sola Civil Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries the following day. Police investigations subsequently exposed the collision narrative as a staged cover-up. Authorities found that the family had harbored deep resentment toward Sofia after a video involving her circulated on social media approximately three months prior. Fearing social humiliation, the father and brother allegedly conspired to execute the killing to protect what they considered family honor. Both accused remain in police custody as legal proceedings continue.
