Shikhar Dhawan Celebrates Man of the Series Award in a Unique Way, Lifts a Boy and Does a Thigh-Five; Watch Video

Shikhar Dhawan was instrumental in helping India level the series in the third and final T20I at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Dhawan scored quick-fire 41 off 22 balls and helped India, who were chasing 165, get off to a solid start. The left-handed batsman during his stay smashed two sixes and six fours. India eventually won the match by six wickets as Virat Kohli finished unbeaten on 61.

The Indian opener was subsequently declared as the Man of the series. Dhawan apart from 41 scored impressive 76 in the first T20I at the Adelaide Oval. During the presentation ceremony when Dhawan was called on stage to receive the award, he lifted a boy present there and seeing it the crowd erupted. He then also did his trademark thigh-five (thigh-slap) "I guess, they love me a lot. Now I will make them cheer more. I enjoy entertaining people and I enjoy playing entertaining cricket. “Yeah, absolutely [feels like being in India]. It's tremendous to see this kind of support. It's good that the stadium was full. It's lovely. The three-match T20I series ended in a draw with Australia winning the first and India the last game. The second match of the series was washed out due to the rain. Dhawan is not part of the Test squad and will now return to India. The left-handed opening batsman will be back in the country for the One-Day International (ODI) series which starts in January next year.
