Looks like the 33-year-old Dhawan is all prepared to join his partner Sharma on the pitch. Rohit-Shikhar duo has been one of the best openers to play for  India. They have made records as openers and their combination has proved to deadly for the opposition teams. Dhawan was injured during ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in the match against Australia. He played a spectacular knock of 117 in the match before getting injured on the thumb. He was later ruled out of the tournament and Rishabh Pant was called in the team as his replacement. KL Rahul was moved up the order as an opener.

Meanwhile, while Sharma is part of the T20, ODI and Test series in India vs West Indies 2019, Dhawan has been kept out of Test squad. India will be playing three T20s and an equal number of ODIs against the Caribbean side, along with two Tests. India’s tour of West Indies 2019 will start with the first T20 on August 3, 2019.
