India and Bangladesh have qualified for the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup final despite not playing their respective semi-final matches against Sri Lanka and Afghanistan respectively. Both the teams advanced to the finals as they finished the group stage above their opposition. The tournament is being held in Sri Lanka and the country's weather had a big impact on the tournament as several matches were washed out. The India vs Sri Lanka match was scheduled to play in Colombo while the Bangladesh vs Afghanistan clash was to be played in Moratuwa. Unfortunately, both the matches were affected with heavy rains and the matches were abandoned without a single ball being delivered.

These washed-out clashes mean India will take on Bangladesh in the final of the tournament on September 14. The Indian team led by Dhruv Jurel have been undefeated in the tournament so far and seems to be favourites to lift the title. The margin of victories is proof of India's dominance in the tournament (7 wickets against Kuwait, 60 runs against Pakistan). On the other hand, Bangladesh has also displayed a decent show and will want to win the tournament as well. The team is led by Farhan Zakhil and will give their best in order to defeat the Indians.

The fans will want a rain-free clash in the finals which will be played in Colombo. Many youngsters of both the teams have proved their mettle and will want to continue their good run in order to get a promotion in the senior Indian team. India will step into the final clash as favourites but the Bangla Tigers will aim to turn the tables their way and conquer the U-19 Asia Cup.
