Virat Kohli has added one more feather to his blistering hat. Yesterday after India beat South Africa by six wickets at the Rose Bowl Cricket Ground in the CWC 2019 tie, Southampton Virat Kohli became the fastest Asian captain to have reached 50 wins. So far the Indian captain has led the team in 69 ODI games and yesterday won his 50th match against South Africa. The Indian captain went past Vivan Richards as he took 70 matches to get to 50-win mark. Clive Llyod still holds the record for the fastest captain to reach 50 wins from 63 games. Llyod shares the position one with Australia’s Ricky Ponting. India had a winning start to the CWC 2019 and obviously, Virat Kohli was elated with the feat. “The wait was very long and then you get a game like this where it was challenging throughout. From our point of view, it was important to start on the right note. We might not have had the run rate, but if you look at how the game went and how the pitch behaved, it was challenging," Kohli said.
