Virat Kohli smashed his highest Test score during India vs South Africa 2nd Test 2019 in Pune. The Indian skipper surpassed his earlier Test knock of 243. The Indian skipper also reached his first 250 plus knock. Kohli managed to hit his 7th double hundred in the match against Proteas. Kohli also reached 21,000 runs on his way to the double century. Kohli's had smashed his earlier best knock of 243 against Sri Lanka in December 2017. While batting first, Kohli took India to massive 536/7 in Delhi. Sri Lanka were chasing 410 runs in that match in the final innings which ended in a draw. Indian bowlers could not bowl out Sri Lanka. India beat Proteas in the first match by 203 runs, thanks to Rohit Sharma’s twin centuries.
