Krishnamachari Srikkanth has heaped praises on Virat Kohli ahead of India’s final ODI match at Melbourne against Australia Down Under. Praising the Indian captain, the former chairman of selectors, Kris Srikkanth, said that India needs a leader like Virat Kohli, saying he had a superb combination of passion, aggression and responsibility.

While speaking to Eenaduindia, Srikkanth said, “If today India is ever chasing a target of 300 plus, it depends on Virat Kohli. Drawing parallels between Kapil Dev and Virat Kohli, Srikkanth said, “The country needs a leader who believes in himself and believes in the team and Kapil did it for us like Virat is doing for the youngsters nowadays.”

Virat Kohli was appointed as the captain of Indian Test team after MS Dhoni decided to hang boots during the 2014-15 Test Tour to Australia.
