After an impressive century, Virat Kohli showed why he is one of the best in the business both with bat and in the field. The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper took a splendid one-handed catch near mid-off to dismiss Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) Shubman Gill. Gill failed to make a proper connection with the ball and toe-ended a full-length delivery from Steyn towards mid-off. Kohli at first fumbled and then eventually completed the catch one-handed. At one point in time, it appeared as if the ball will go over Kohli. Gill was third Knight Riders’ wicket to fell and the young batsman was Steyn’s second victim of the night. The right-hander lasted only 11 balls and scored nine runs, including one boundary. AT fall of Gill’s wicket KKR’s score read 33 for three in five overs.

Earlier, batting first, Kohli powered Royal Challengers to a mammoth 213 for four in their allotted 20 overs. Kohli smashed his IPL career’s fifth century, second-most in the league’s history. Kohli stitched a valuable 90-run stand for the third wickets with Moeen Ali to help RCB past over 200 runs. Moeen Ali scored 66 off just 28 balls to register his third half-century of the season.
