During day three of the third Test between India and England, Kohli scored his Test career’s 23rd century. It was his 58th international ton. Interestingly, in 2001, Tendulkar scored 103 against England in a Test match at Ahmedabad and it was Master Blaster’s 58th international century as well. Not just the identical number of international centuries and scores, in fact, there is another resemblance.

Both the batsmen consumed same of deliveries to reach 103, which is 197 and apparently had the same strike-rate of 52.28. Tendulkar eventually went on to score 51 hundreds in Tests and 49 in ODIs, thus becoming the first and only batsman till date to reach the milestone of 100 international centuries. Meanwhile, Kohli is in great form and has done well thus far in the Tests against England. In 2011, Kohli struggled in English connections, particularly against James Anderson.
