The world witnessed the heroics of Cristiano Ronaldo as the Juventus forward scored a hat-trick against Atletico Madrid and guided Juventus into the quarter-finals of the Champions League 2018-19. CR7 stuck once in the first half and twice in the second half of the game. The first goal came at the 27th minute and then in the 49th minute. Lastly at the 86th minute, CR7 converted a penalty into a goal. The Juventus forward celebrated the victory by mimicking Diego Simeone’s infamous celebration. Juventus is now at the aggregate of 3-2. The last time the two teams met each other at the Wanda Metropolitano, the Italian giants bit the dust losing 2-0. Back then Simeone had turned to the stands while grabbing his crotch area - a celebration he used to do during his playing days to reflect that his side had shown what they were made of. Cristiano Ronaldo made a mockery of the Spanish team’s defence. The video of the gesture went viral and was shared further on social media.

With the hat-trick, Ronaldo became the first player ever to notch up 125 goals in all UEFA competitions. Mesut Ozil, the official page of Champions League and Juventus hailed CR7 for putting up a phenomenal show. Juventus will next play against Ajax and Manchester United in the Champions League clash.
