Manchester United’s wait for a first away Premier League victory under permanent boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer finally drew to an end in the 3-1 thrashing win over Norwich City. United, who hadn’t won on the road since that mayhem in Pairs in March, have now recorded successive away wins – across all competitions – in the space of four days. The win against Norwich – after the 1-0 victory at Partizan – was secured with goals from Scott McTominay, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial and it was special with the red devils not just creating a new Premier League record but also achieving some unique feats during their dominating spell at Carrow Road.

But United weren’t the only creating records at the Association stadium on Sunday. Norwich goalkeeper Tim Krul, whose penalty heroics saved Norwich from a more humiliating defeat, too created some unique records. The Netherlands goalkeeper, renowned for his penalty-saving skills denied both Rashford and Martial from the spot and pulled-out some extraordinary saves despite playing the most part of second half battling a knee problem. From becoming the first team to score 2000 Premier League goals to Rashford and Martial registering an interesting record and Scott McTominay hitting a new milestone, take a look at the various records that were written and rewritten at Carrow Road Stadium.

Where No One Has Ever Reached

50 Goals Already!!

  1. Manchester United became the first team to score 2000 Premier League goals ever since the league was launched about 27 years ago.
  2. Scott McTominay etched his name into Premier League and United's history with a wonderful volley that made United the first team to record this unique milestone of reaching 2000 goals in the domestic league.
  3. Marcus Rashford scored his 50th club goal for Manchester United across all competitions with. 32 of those 50 goals have come in the Premier League.
  4. Rashford and Anthony Martial became the first pair of teammates to score as well as miss penalties for their team in a single Premier League game.
  5. Rashford and Martial's miss meant United have now scored just two of the six penalties awarded to them in this Premier League season. Both of those goals have been scored by Rashford, who has also missed two of the four squandered opportunities.
  6. United also have three different players to have missed a penalty in the Premier League this season. A disappointing club record that occurred for the first time in 2012/13 when Robin van Persie Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez endured similar misses.
  7. Norwich City missed out on a chance of becoming the first side in 15 years to beat both the Manchester clubs – United and City – in the same season. Norwich beat City 3-2 and could have joined Wolves and Portsmouth with a victory against United.
  8. Prior to this 3-1 win, United had just won 4 of their 17 league matches and also had the lowest club points tally (10) since 1986-87.
  9. The Red Devils had failed to win eight successive Premier League away games (5 losses) before the victory at Norwich.
  10. Aaron Wan-Bissaka made 11 tackles against Norwich. It was the second time Wan-Bissaka made 10 or more tackles in a single Premier League game.
  11. Tim Krul is the first goalkeeper to produce two penalty saves in a single Premier League game since 2016. The last goalkeeper to do it was Maarten Stekelenburg, who is also a Dutch player.

Courtesy the victory, United jumped eight places to the seventh rank. They have 13 from 10 games, while Norwich – their campaign deterred more by injuries than by performance – fell into the second-last place with just seven points in the Premier League.
