Mario Balotelli has slammed Lazio fans after the forward was once again a target of racial abuse on Sunday. Balotelli posted a video on his Instagram account criticizing the away fans for their actions. The Italian forward opened the scoring as he put Brescia in front on the 18th minute and this started a series of offensive chants from the visiting fans. The match was halted after the half-hour mark as an announcement was made in the stadium, reportedly to warn the fans against the discriminatory behaviour. Mario Balotelli posted a video on his Instagram account where he slammed the Lazio fans for their racist behaviour during the game. 'Is a lost that hurt but we will come back stronger and we are on the right way! Lazio fans that were today at the stadium SHAME ON YOU!' the Italian captioned his post. Later Lazio released a statement dissociating themselves from the actions. ‘SS Lazio dissociates itself in the most exhaustive way from the discriminatory behaviours implemented by a very small minority of fans during the match with the Brescia.’ The club said in their official statement. This was not the first time that 29-year-old was subjected to racial abuse as earlier in the season he threatened to leave the field due to racist chants towards him by the Hellas Verona fans in November.
