League leaders Barcelona who have a seven-point lead at the top have a tough away game against Sevilla next in the league. A win for the Catalonians will help them stretch the lead but any slip-ups give the chasing pack a new lease of life. Despite struggling with their form, Barcelona look like the team that can win the title again. The immediate concern for Ernesto Valverde will improve the playing style of the Catalonians who have won just once in five games across all competition. Their opponents Sevilla looked like a force to reckon with at the start of the season but have been poor for quite some time now.

The big news coming from the home team camp is Jesus Navas has been declared fit to play despite taking a knock in the Europa League. The veteran winger has the requisite skills to trouble the Barcelona backline who don’t like balls being played directly from wide areas.  Sergio Escudero is unfit and misses the game. He will be replaced in the starting line-up by Quincy Pomes who faces a real challenge in Barcelona. Ever Banega returns for Sevilla in the midfield and his calming influence in the middle of the pitch is crucial for the home team’s chances. Their forward line consisting Andre Silva and Wissam Ben  Yedder have goals in them and they pose a threat upfront. Pablo Sarabia will likely start as the no 10 for his team to help create chances for his front two.

Sergio Roberto is set to start as a full-back for Barcelona after fluffing his lines as a midfielder against Lyon. Ivan Rakitic is likely to miss out with Arturo Vidal set to flank talisman Sergio Busquets in midfield. With Real Madrid on the horizon, Ousmane Dembele could be rested which means a start for Phillipe Coutinho. Lionel Messi has saved Barcelona in the past when they failed to turn up and all eyes would be on him once again when Barcelona take the field against Sevilla.

Sevilla won't go down easily against Barcelona and a draw looks the most likely outcome of this game.
