1. SSC Napoli 1–0 Liverpool

Lorenzo Insigne's 90th-minute clincher right at the death ensured SSC Napoli to win against the high-flying Liverpool. Napoli were the best side throughout the match. Liverpool struggled to get ground in a tense encounter and were deservedly beaten with their manager Jurgen Klopp acknowledging that they were second best in all departments.

The win ensured that Napoli topped group C after two matches with a point ahead of PSG and Liverpool. They play PSG in their third match on October 25 while Liverpool host Crvena Zvezda on the same day.

2. PSG 6–1 Crvena Zvezda

PSG bounced back emphatically from their opening day loss to Liverpool to win 6-1 against minnows Crvena Zvezda. Brazilian star Neymar scored a spectacular hat-trick with two well-taken free kicks to inspire the French Side to trounce. Angel Di Maria, Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe also scored to round off a dominating night.

Marko Marin pulled one back at 5-0 for the visitors who remain on one point at the bottom of the group. PSG will play Napoli in their next match while Crvena Zvezda will travel to Liverpool.

3. Atlético Madrid 3–1 Club Brugge

Antoine Griezmann scored the 8000th goal of UEFA Champions League when he scored twice to ensure a win for the Spanish side at home to Club Brugge. Arnaut Groeneveld made it 1-1 for the visitors at half-time after Griezmann had given the lead to the hosts at the 28th minute. But he added the record goal in the second half before Koke sealed three points in the added time.

The win ensures Madrid stay second in the group at six points behind Borussia Dortmund on goal difference while Club Brugge are winless. 4. Borussia Dortmund 3–0 Monaco

Jacob Bruun Larsen, Paco Alcácer and Marco Reus ensured Dortmund make two wins in two in Group A of UEFA Champions League 2018. It took six minutes for Jacob Bruun Larsen to break the deadlock after coming as a half-time substitute. Alcacer missed a penalty when he hit the bar but made amends to score the second goal. Marco Reus capped the win in the added time.

Dortmund top the group on goal difference after two wins in two. Madrid are second with six points. Monaco and Club Brugge are still on zero points. Borussia Dortmund host Atletico Madrid in a high-octane clash on 25th October.

5. Tottenham Hotspur 2–4 Barcelona

Tottenham Hotspur’s woes in Europe continued as they lost their second consecutive game in Group B of UEFA Champions League 2018. Philippe Coutinho scored an early opener, and Ivan Rakitić's brilliant finish made it 2-0 for the Spanish giants at the break. Harry Kane pulled one back but Lionel Messi, who had hit the post, scored his side’s third. Erik Lamela's deflected effort pulled one back for Spurs in the 66th minute, but that proved to be a mere consolation.

The win ensures Barcelona to top the group on six points ahead of Inter Milan on goal difference. Spurs and PSV are winless. 6. PSV Eindhoven 1–2 Inter Milan

Pablo Rosario scored a superb opener before half an hour for PSV, but Inter Milan struck from behind with goals from Radja Nainggolan and Mauro Icardi to win 1-2 in The Netherlands.

Inter joins Barcelona on two wins but stay second on goal difference ahead of their clash with the Spanish giants while PSV are on zero points.
