Life of Manchester United fans have been tough in recent times especially with English Premier League (EPL) club going through its worse run. The Ole Gunnar Solsjaker managed club suffered another shock 0-1 defeat against Newcastle United leaving the supporters of the club in splits over the club’s future. Fans and pundits condemned the club for its lack of intent after another disappointing performance. But amidst all the furore, Yuvraj Singh, who has been a long-time admirer of the Red Devils, came out in support and asked the players and club to keep trying. The shock 0-1 defeat at St. James’ Park left United only two points off the relegation zone after eight games into the campaign. Solsjaker’s side have won only twice in eight games, while also losing and drawing three each. United are also now gone 17 games without winning away from home and have netted only 11 times this season. The loss to Newcastle left United in the 12th place and without a win in their last three league games. “Tough times don’t last ! Tough men do !!! @ManUtd,” posted Yuvraj after United’s surprise loss to Newcastle. Meanwhile, former England cricketer and a close friend of Yuvraj, Kevin Peitersen also commented on the World Cup winner’s post. Pietersen, who is a die-hard Chelsea fan, trolled United and Yuvraj for the club’s lacklustre season so far in 2019.

“No one in Manchester is tough!” said Pietersen replying to Yuvraj’s “Tough men do” post. Pietersen’s reply could as well be the reply to Yuvraj, who trolled the former England skipper following United’s 4-0 rout of Chelsea in the opening weekend of the Premier League. “Hey mr @KP24 very quiet today all ok @ManUtd,” the stylish left-hander had tweeted trolling Pietersen for his team’s thrashing defeat.
Meanwhile, Newcastle teenager Matthew Longstaff scored the winning and only goal of the match. The younger of the Longstaff brothers, who was making his league debut for the senior boyhood club, further compounded United’s misery with a classic strike from outside the box in the 72ns minute to lead his die to victory. The 1-0 win was also Newcastle manager Steve Bruce’s first managerial win over Manchester United.
