As a sportsperson who has just begun their career, it a dream come true when they meet their role-model in person. It was an avid fan moment for Arjuna Awardee and Asian Games 2018 Gold medallist, Hima Das, when she met Sachin Tendulkar at his residence, on Friday.

The duo shared exquisite pleasantries during their meet, too. Hima Das, who brought laurels to the country by winning Gold and Silver medals at Asian Games 2018, greeted the legendary cricketer with a bouquet while she met Tendulkar on September 28. Hima wrote about the same on her Twitter account.

Hima Das wrote, “An overwhelming morning, meeting my legend I always looked upon @sachin_rt sir #dreamcometrue #memorablemorning. Thanks sir for this memorable jersey and some motivational talks which will really help me in my career.”

On the other hand, Sachin Tendulkar, who is quite active on social media these days, wished her well for her career. The former Indian cricketer also gifted Hima Das a signed Test cricket jersey.

On his Twitter account, Sachin wrote, “It was a memorable morning for me as well, @HimaDas8. Meeting you was wonderful. You’re an inspiration to all of India’s youth. Keep running and making the whole nation proud. Best wishes for your future.”
