Eight-month pregnant Indian tennis star Sania Mirza has taken a break from social media, hopefully, a short one. But the reason behind this sudden break is not your routine digital detox that celebrities tend to take occasionally. Sania tweeted about ‘signing out’ from social media due to upcoming India vs Pakistan clash in the Asia Cup 2018 cricket tournament. Baffling right? But once you read the 31-year-old’s tweet, you would get the underlying message is directed at online trolls who keep spewing negativity at Sania Mirza who is married to Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik. The negativities only increase during India vs Pakistan matches and Sania is no mood to let it have an adverse effect on her especially when she is expecting her first child with husband Shoaib. India vs Pakistan, Asia Cup 2018 LIVE Cricket Streaming on Hotstar and PTV Sports: Get Live Cricket Score, Watch Free Telecast of IND vs PAK ODI Match on TV & Online.

“Soo less than 24hrs to go for this match, safe to sign out of social media for a few days since the amount of nonsense thts gonna b said here can make a ‘regular’ person sick ,let alone a pregnant one🙄Later guys!Knock yourselves out!BUT remember-ITS ONLY A CRICKET MATCH! Toodles!” Sania Mirza’s last tweet before she makes a comeback on the micro-blogging platform reads this message.

It may have surprised many of her fans and followers especially our headstrong Sania Mirza is such an avid tweeter. But one can understand the mindset of a mother-to-be and her overprotectiveness towards her unborn child. However, Sania’s decision to take a temporary break from the social media reflects so bad on us as netizens. Not everyone is a troll, but this tiny section of online trolls for whom celebrities are soft targets to attack in an online war is giving all of us a bad name. Sania Mirza Gives it Back to a Troll Who Wished Her Pakistan's I-Day, Says 'My & My Country's Independence Day is Tomorrow'.

Sania on India's 72nd Independence Day

Sania Mirza who always identifies herself as a very proud Indian first is married to a respectable sportsperson of another country. Yes, two nations do not share cordial relationships. There are tensions between them. However, how does it justify a troll’s behaviour to attack a sportsperson with vile comments, putting a question mark on her nationality and her religious sentiments? As a die-hard fan of Sania, both player and social media influencer, it makes me sad that my idol is bidding a little goodbye due to such toxic online space. Sania Mirza is Glowing & Flaunts Her Baby Bump in the Latest Magazine Cover, View Pic.

Coming back to India vs Pakistan cricket match, like Sania Mirza said, it is just a match. In fact, it is a dead rubber as of now with both the teams already qualifying to the Round of 4 stage. And importantly, wins and losses are part and parcel of a sport. One should celebrate the victory and feel sad about defeat but just do not turn hysterical about the match result and start troubling others’ lives with nonsensical remarks. This is an appeal to true-blue cricket fans and as for online trolls – get a life!
