Indian para-athlete Deepa Malik shared a heart-warming video from athlete village at Jakarta, in Indonesia, where the Asian Para Games 2018 is currently taking place. The footage showed para-athletes dancing to the tunes of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s songs. It was delighting to see athletes hailing from different countries shaking their leg on yesteryear songs at 3rd Asian Para Games!

On her Twitter account, the 2016 Paralympics Silver medallist Deepa wrote, “Proud to see #ShahrukhMania at the #AsianParaGames2018 #AthleteVillage! #SRK and #Sports bringing the entire Asian continent together! @iamsrk @KKRiders @MeerFoundation.”

Shah Rukh Khan’s popularity is worldly-known. It is not a hidden fact that he has an immense fan-following outside too. During the Asian Games 2018, it was revealed that Shah Rukh Khan is more famous than Amitabh Bachchan in host cities of Jakarta and Palembang.

“Language isn’t a barrier, but we all love Shah Rukh Khan,” said a group of volunteers at the Asian Games. If one recalls, the performers at 2018 Asian Games had sung quite a few songs of his films in the closing ceremony too.

The 188-member strong Indian contingent at the 2018 Asian Para Games have put on a grand show so far. Indian para-athletes have won a total of 28 medals in the multi-sport event till now.
