London, July 12: Trust Wimbledon to produce a giant upset and a great comeback on the same day. Wednesday proved to be a special day at the Wimbledon 2018 with two spectacular matches in the Men's singles. While fans were left disappointed at Roger Federer's shock exit and Kevin Anderson's grit and determination, it is World No.1 Rafael Nadal who won hearts and the epic match between him and the towering Juan Martin del Potro.
One must have thought that they had seen enough after the pulsating clash between the no. 1 seed Roger Federer and eight seed Kevin Anderson, where the South African caused one of the biggest upsets of all time after he beat the Swiss great in five sets, coming from 2 sets down and saving a match-point in the third set. But Rafael Nadal, who faced a resurgent J. del Potro, won an epic battle beating del Potro 7-5 6-7 (7-9) 4-6 6-4 6-4. But it is what he did as soon as he won the match which is winning hearts all over the world.
Watch the video of the Spaniard crossing over to a devastated del Potro's side as soon as he won the match that lasted for 4 hours and 47 minutes, to console and share a hug with the Argentine who played a cracker of a game:
The victor and the vanquished. Sportsmanship at its finest.

Even Wimbledon couldn't resist the moment and shared the video of Nadal and Potro sharing not just a great match but also a fine moment. And they aptly titled it as "Sportsmanship at its finest." Two- time champion Rafael Nadal will face the former World No.1 Novak Djokovic in the semi-final on Friday. And the world can't wait for sure.
