Anthropic has launched a research preview of Claude Tag, a new feature designed to function as an "always-on" AI teammate within Slack. By allowing users to tag @Claude directly in communication channels, the tool provides persistent context and memory, enabling the AI to assist with tasks and track ongoing projects in real time. This functionality is currently rolling out to Claude Enterprise and Claude Team customers.

Unlike previous integrations that required manual prompts for every request, Claude Tag maintains a continuous presence in designated Slack channels.
