Cupertino, December 18:  Apple fans have plenty to look forward to as the tech giant gears up for a major launch in September 2026. Alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, Apple is reportedly unveiling its first foldable phone, the much-rumoured iPhone Fold. While details remain limited, early reports suggest subtle yet exciting design changes, making these devices some of the most anticipated in years.

One notable update for the iPhone 18 Pro series is the relocation of the selfie camera from the centre-top of the display, as seen on the iPhone 17 series, to the top-left corner. The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, internally codenamed V63 and V64, are said to feature a mechanical aperture on one of the rear cameras. This upgrade aims to enhance low-light photography by controlling the amount of light hitting the sensor. Additionally, Apple may introduce another rear image sensor, further improving night-time image quality.

Apple is also reportedly experimenting with Wafer-Level Multi-Chip Module (WLCM) technology from TSMC, placing memory chips closer to the core processor to accelerate on-device AI processing. Meanwhile, the iPhone Fold (V68) is expected to come with a 5.3-inch cover display and a 7.7-inch foldable interior screen, with the selfie camera positioned similarly to the iPhone 18 Pro series. Speciality glass and folding materials are said to be sourced from Corning and Schott, ensuring durability for the foldable device, as per a report by Gadget360.

Aside from these high-end launches, Apple may also introduce the iPhone 17e in early 2026, featuring MagSafe support, but without a Dynamic Island display cutout or built-in wireless charging magnets. While Apple has yet to confirm any of these details, early reports and leaked iOS 26 code hint at a major year for iPhone fans, combining high-end innovation, AI improvements, and Apple’s first foldable experience.
