Asus 6Z Launching Today in India; Watch Live Streaming of Asus' New Flagship Smartphone Launch Event

Asus India will be launching the new flagship smartphone in the Indian market today. The new Asus 6Z smartphone will come with Snapdragon 855 SoC and a 48MP flip camera. To recall, the Taiwanese phone maker introduced Zenfone 6 at an event in Spain last month, which is scheduled to be launched in the country today. Ahead of its official release in the country, the company rebranded the smartphone as Asus 6Z from Zenfone 6 as per the order from Delhi High Court. The company will be hosting an event in Delhi, which is scheduled to commence at 12:30 PM IST. Asus will also be live streaming the launch event of Asus 6Z straight from the venue through official YouTube channel & Facebook page. You can watch the live telecast of Asus 6Z here.

On the specification front, the upcoming Asus 6Z will be powered by the latest chipset from Qualcomm - Snapdragon 855, which will be mated up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone will be backed by a massive 5,000 mAh battery providing battery life of 2 days with QuickCharge 4.0 technology for fast charging. The phone will also feature a 6.4-inch IPS FHD+ notchless LCD display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.

Coming to the camera department, the Asus 6Z will be packed with a 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor, which we have already seen on OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. However, the sensor will produce entirely 48MP images, unlike OnePlus 7 Series that generate 12MP images. The phone will also come with USB-C, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and a triple-slot SIM slot, stereo speakers, headphone jack as well as a notification LED.

As far as the prices are concerned, the company will be eyeing to keep the prices competitive and the same will be announced at the launch event itself. However, the European prices for the flagship smartphone start at EUR 499 (around Rs 39,000) and goes up to EUR 599 (approximately Rs 46,700).
